MTS, will be recognized, as a protection of our planet’s natural resources is one of the most important issues facing the world today. We are committed to incorporating environmentally responsible practices into all of our business activities and, over time, achieving environmental leadership in our industry. We have identified key focus areas, including waste management, energy reduction, water usage and the elimination of harmful substances.   Our goal is to minimize the environmental impact of our business units and operational activities using the strategies discussed below.

Supply Chain

We recognize that our supply chain processes impact the environment. While we do not have direct control over our brands, suppliers, vendors and service providers, we:

Require our suppliers and vendors to comply with applicable environmental laws in their countries and encourage the nurturing of a better environment at their facilities and in the communities in which they operate.
Seek to have our suppliers and vendors meet our environmental requirements with respect to wastewater treatment, hazardous chemicals, air quality and recycling.

Employ an ongoing assessment process through an Environmental Management System to monitor each factory’s compliance and to use this information in our sourcing decisions.

Seek to minimize our environmental impact in transportation by including environmental considerations in our transportation decisions. This involves encouraging our third-party transportation providers to participate in organizations and in programs that seek to improve transportation management with regard to air quality, energy efficiency and other environmental impacts.

Tracking Progress

We will continue to measure our environmental performance with regard to the areas discussed above and we will set targets to assist us in measuring and improving our performance. In addition to the qualitative goals in our key environmental focus areas, we seek to:

Communications and Aspirations

We will spread our environmental message and aspirations internally and externally, acknowledging our activities and successes as they occur, including the following initiatives:
Publishing an annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report that is available to all stakeholders and includes a section dedicated to our environmental efforts and results.
Publishing a periodic internal newsletter in support of environmental awareness and our efforts and establishing the “BRANDS Cares About the Environment” mailbox for sending and receiving environmental updates and recommendations.
Partnering with external groups that support environmental awareness and responsibility.
Encouraging associates to support and get involved in environmental issues through various initiatives within the company and through contributions to environmental causes.

Legal and Ethical Requirements:

We expect our suppliers to conduct business with the highest moral and ethical standard and to comply with all legal requirements, relevant to the conduct of their business. We will seek suppliers who respect the legal & moral right of the

Nondiscrimination:

We will not do business with any suppliers and business partners who discrimination in employment, including hiring, salary, benefits, advancement, discipline, termination or retirement, on the basis of gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion and social or ethnic origin.

Child Labor:

Employees of our suppliers must be the greater of (i) the applicable legal minimum age requirement in the country of manufacture (ii) the age for completing compulsory education.Suppliers must observe all legal requirements for work of authorized minors, particularly those pertaining to hours of work, wages, and minimum education and working

Freedom of Association:

Employees should be free to join organization of their own choice. Suppliers shall recognize and respect the right of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining. Employees should not be subject to intimidation or harassment in the exercise of their right to join or to refrain from joining any organization

Harassment and Abuse:

Our suppliers must treat employers with respect and dignity. No employee shall be subject to any physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment and / or abuse.  

Forced Labor:

We will not be associated with any supplier who uses forced labor whether in the form of prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor or otherwise.

We will encourage our suppliers, to share our commitment to contribute to the betterment of the communities in which they operate

Wages and Benefits:

\]We recognize that wages are essential to meeting employee’s basic needs. Employees shall pay employees at least the minimum wages required by local law or the prevailing industry wage-when available, whichever is higher, on a timely basis and provide all legally mandated benefits. Employees shall be compensated for overtime hours at the rate established by law in the country of manufacture or, in those countries where such laws do not exist, at a rate least equal to their regular hourly compensation rate.

Health and Safety:

Our suppliers shall provide a safe and healthy work environment to prevent accident and injury to health arising out of, linked with, or occurring in the course of work or a result of the operation of the employee’s facilities. Employers must fully comply with all applicable workplace, health and safety laws. We encourage suppliers and business partners to make a responsible contribution to the health care needs of their employees.
